PRSSA was one of the best experiences I had during college. This lab taught me a lot about not only the field of public relations, but a lot about myself as well. PRSSA taught me how to better-manage my time, how to set up successful events, how to professionally speak to groups of different varieties (County Officials, Gold Star Mothers, the chapter). I learned a lot working with Dr. Tee, and even though at first, it felt like the hardest thing I'd ever done, I learned to make a successful budget and budget narrative. When I found out I was doing my internship with PRSSA, I was excited because it was not only a class anymore, but I got to view it as an unpaid job. As I go on to graduate, and look for a real job in the field, I know I will miss all of the wonderful people I met from this chapter, and I know I will hear Dr. Tee's voice in my head helping me through all the hardships I face during my life in the field of Public Relations.

PRSSA taught me alot about working together in a group, and accepting leadership. Until college, I had never been in a club in which I wasn't president, and even in NBS, I was an officer (secretary).
This semester, we had 2 clients, West Virginia Association of County Officials (WVACO) and Calvin Grimm&Tyler Mullin's for their film 37 Fallen. |
